Happy New Years Everyone!

Happy New Years fellow Falcon SMP members! Hopefully your winter break is going well! There have been a few updates to go over. We are super happy to see an increase in players as the new year progresses!

Spawn Parkour and Starter Kit

There is a new parkour course at spawn. Run /spawn and you will find a sign that will warp you to the parkour! Finish it and win some great prizes! There is another, harder parkour in there as well. For new members, you will also receive a starter kit! This starter kit includes a wooden sword, axe, pickaxe, hoe, leather armor, a golden shovel, and a book on how to claim land.

Shiny New Lobby

As progression with the server continues, so do our updates. We have a shiny new lobby for players, redone and revised! All of the rules are posted inside the new lobby as well! You will also find links to this website and our Discord! The lobby will continue to evolve overtime and will be the center of the server where players can meet and conduct SMP business! More updates to the lobby will be shared in the coming weeks as we continue to prepare for more content and progression updates.

Moderator Applications Reminder

That's right, our moderator applications are open once again! Now under new management as well! You will be able to help out our community and keep it safe, fun, and enjoyable to be a part of. You can find our Discord on the home page, or you can apply to be a moderator here: Falcon SMP New Mod Application. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to any available SLT, or message the Staff Manager directly. We do ask that you read the entirety of the instructions and introduction so that you can properly fill out the form. 

New Server Shop

Coming very soon to Falcon SMP will be our very own server shop where you can buy various items, drops, and blocks! It is still in progress, but it will be announced when we are ready to begin testing on production! We look forward to the usage of it and the new potential that it can bring into our server, and we look forward to your feedback! This shop will encourage more interaction with the server and more playtime as well.

Voting Now Available

As our server continues to grow, we have expanded our reach to a few platforms. With these new platforms, you will be able to vote to boost our server and increase foot traffic so that you can meet new people from all around the world! You can vote once a day, so please consider doing so. We really do appreciate all the support we have gotten so far!

New [REGULAR] Member Perks

The [Regular] Member role has gained a few new perks. Now, instead of all members being able to use the /back command upon death to retrieve their items, only [Regular] Members and higher can do so. [Regular] Members are also allowed to set up to 5 homes instead of 3, encouraging activity on the server.

Server Ranking

Server ranks have stayed the same. They are as follows:

[Admin] - Administrators of the server. Have unrestricted access to all systems and are typically directors of the organization.

[Staff Manager] - A rank that is given to the Staff Manager or Staff Assistant. The Staff Managers are in charge of volunteer moderator/helper teams, and assist with hiring, training, and administrative duties within the network.

[Community Manager] - Given to the Community Manager. The Community Manager is in charge of updating Falcon SMP social media platforms with events and builds happening on the server, as well as organizing server-wide events and monitoring them.

[Quality Control] - Given to Quality Assurance testers. Most of our testers are on the development server and are not often visible on production.

[Moderator] - Given to Volunteer Moderators. Moderators help address server concerns and combat bad actors, while remaining helpful in the community.

[Helper] - Given to Moderators prior to their training period post-hire and users who do not necessarily meet the requirements for Moderator but wish to help out in the community. Helpers are faces of the community answering questions and escalating issues to senior staff as they come up, serving as a direct link from Administrators to community members.

[Builder] - Former role enabling world edit access in the creative world. This rank is no longer obtainable and has been phased out until further notice.

[Regular] - Awarded to long-time members that frequent the server often. Members with this role are able to use the /back command to go back to the spot of their last death and are able to set up to 5 homes instead of 3.

[Member] - Default rank

[Build Banned] - Given to users who cause extensive damage to the world and as a result have build permissions revoked.

Punishment Appeal Form

The Punishment Appeal Form is a new way of allowing punished players to submit a request to lift any punishments they may have. This form is intended for punished players only. Any abuse towards this form will result in either your ability to appeal be restricted or receiving a warning if you do not have a punishment already. If you do intend to fill out this form to lift a punishment you have received, please make sure you read the instructions in its entirety.
